Reporting to:  Plant Automation Supervisor

Location: Tanga

Job Statement

Perform skilled plant automation activities by providing technical service to optimize cost, equipment availability and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve plant instruments and automation problems using proper operating procedures (fault finding diagnosis).
  • Ensure that substations, gas analyzer rooms, weighing feeders’ rooms and remote IO signal panels are neat and operational.
  • Ensure all documentation is in a neat and tidy state by maintaining equipment tracking/calibration database and systems data and testing equipment.
  • Utilize own and team efforts to achieve the objectives of the operation.
  • Enforces all safety, health and environment rules and regulations according to country /company protocol including OSHA compliance.
  • Compliance to group and local Code of Business Conduct and all policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Performs any other duties as may be assigned by line management.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Diploma in Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years’ instrumentation maintenance experience in cement or equivalent industry
  • Extensive experience in PLC, instruments, and computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental risks identification and statutory requirements and management
  • Ability to read and understand plans, blueprints, and specifications
  • Good on fault finding and problem solving
  • Good understanding of preventive maintenance requirements
  • Honest and trustworthy
