Tanga Cement PLC constructed and handed over a fully furnished grade one ward to Handeni District Council. This investment in health sector is part of the company’s Corporate Social Investment program which focuses on improving Tanzania communities in areas of Education, Health, Environment and Community Development. This is the first grade one ward at Handeni District hospital. It is suitable for any type of patient including high rank Government officials who would be in need of a VIP treatment. The ward will not only serve the Handeni district residents, it will also be serving people closer to the district like people from Morogoro, Coast region and Manyara. Tanga Cement PLC did this with intention of supporting the Government’s initiative of improving health services to the Tanzanians. We believe health is key to the productivity and development. The total project cost is Tzs 87,000,000.
